A key element is that of engaging not only our superficial muscles , meant for movement, but our deeper,”core” postural muscles which protect and support the body structures.
It is a global technique, meaning that even specific exercises to correct areas of stiffness/weakness take into account the whole body, requiring a degree of awareness and concentration.
At the APPI, the original J.Pilates exercises have been analysed and modified to suit all levels of abilities, allowing for a progression whatever the starting level.
