Swedish massage is one of the most commonly used form of classical western massage, generally performed on muscle groups, in the direction of the heart, sometimes with active or passive movement of the joints. Swedish massage involves, effleurage, petrissage, vibration and tapotement movements on the soft tissues of the body.
Swedish massage is used especially for relaxation and relief of muscular tension, and to improve circulation and range of movement.
